West Bengal 12th Result 2024: To qualify the final examination, all students need to score at least 30 percent marks in written examination and practical individually.
West Bengal Board Class 12th or Higher Secondary Result 2024 will be declared soon. It will release today, May 8, at 1 pm. Students will be able to check their scorecards from 3 pm onwards. All the candidates who appeared in the examination this year can check their results once on the official website of the board, wbresults.nic.in. This year, the West Bengal Board Class 12 exam was conducted from February 16 to February 19 and around 7.8 lakh students appeared for the exam.
West Bengal 12th Result 2024: What are the passing marks?
To pass the final examination, all students are required to obtain at least 30 percent marks in the individual written examination and practical. Which translates into 30 marks out of 100 marks per subject.
Based on the marks obtained, students will be given grades according to their performance in each subject. Grade A+ will be given to candidates scoring 80-100 marks. Similarly, those scoring between 60-79 will be given Grade A, 40-59 will be given Grade B, 30-44 will be given Grade C, those scoring 30 or less will be given Grade D.
West Bengal 12th Result 2024: Steps to check
Step 1: Visit the official website of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education wbresults.nic.in.
Step 2: Go to the homepage and look for the tab ‘Class 12 (Higher Secondary) Result 2024’ or something similar and click on it.
Step 3: A new page will open in front of you asking for login credentials. Fill the requested information carefully and click on submit.
Step 4: Your 12th class result will appear on the screen. Check all the information carefully.
Step 5: Download it and take a print out on A4 size sheet paper for future reference.
Last year, West Bengal HS Class 12 results for all Science, Commerce and Arts streams were declared on May 24. A total of 8.24 lakh students appeared in the examination and approx. 7.37 lakh cleared it with an overall passing percentage of 89.25 per cent.
