The results of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) were declared on Friday for admission to graduate engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy courses in state-driven and state-assigned universities.
Although the examination was held on 27 April, the results were an unusual delay this year, as a legal quarrel led to protests in political circles. On August 18, the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, Suvandu Adikari, warned that the BJP MLAs would stage a sit -in outside the headquarters of the State Education Department if the results are not released this week.

“WBJEE results have been published,” the board chairman Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee told PTI. He said that once the legal issue on publication was resolved, the board declared the results in the interest of the students.
Top rank holders are Don Bosco School, Park Circus, Kalyani Central Model School’s Summanyoti Biswas, Disecent Basu and Delhi Public Scolol, Ruby Park, Ruby Park, Trishgan’s top rank holders. Purv International School Durgapur and Midnapur College School’s Sangik Patra.
On Monday, the WBJEE board issued a circular direction candidate to upload its SC, ST and OBC certificates on the official website. Cleaning the final obstacle for publication, the submission window closed on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated the students who have successfully approved the examination by accepting their hard work and perseverance.
In a post on X, Banerjee also praised the efforts of parents and teachers, recognizing their role in guiding and supporting students through an important academic milestone.
Banerjee wrote, “I congratulate my heartiest and wish all the students who have passed the State Joint Entrance Examination.”
“I also congratulate my parents and teachers,” he said.
Addressing those who have not performed with the expectation, while addressing the people, the CM offered the incentive.
“For those who could not achieve good results for some reason, I urge you to lose your heart, but to prepare for better results in future,” he said.
Banerjee accepted the delay in the declaration of results this year citing legal complications. Despite this, he expressed confidence in the flexibility and capacity of the students.
He said, “After overcoming all adversities, you will achieve maximum success in the coming days and make Bengal proud.”
