Joint entrance exam for ANM and GNM courses to be held on July 14 across the state
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board is expected to release the admit cards for the Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) entrance exams today. Candidates who have registered for the exam can get their admit cards from the official WBJEE website wbjeeb.nic.in/anm-gnm. The admit card download window will remain active till July 14. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card and a valid ID to the exam centre. The joint entrance exam for ANM and GNM courses is scheduled for July 14 across the state.
WB ANM, GNM 2024 Admit Card: Steps to Download
Step 1: Visit the official website of WBJEE at wbjeeb.nic.in/anm-gnm.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ANM GNM Admit Card link.
Step 3: You will be taken to the login page.
Step 4: Enter your application details including your registration number, date of birth and password issued at the time of registration.
Step 5: After submitting your details your admit card should appear on the screen
Step 6: Check and download the admit card.
The exam will have 100 questions for a total of 115 marks. All questions will be multiple choice (MCQ) with four answer options for each. The duration of the paper is 1.5 hours. Except for Basic English and Logical Reasoning, all questions will be in both English and Bengali.
The applications had started earlier this year and the exam fee for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS and orphan students was Rs 300. The payment could be made through net banking, credit card, debit card, QR code or UPI. The application fee for all others was Rs 400. The board said that once paid, the money will not be refunded under any circumstances and candidates have been advised not to wait till the deadline to make the payment.
WB ANM and GNM entrance exam is conducted for admission to two-year ANM and three-year GNM programs for the academic year 2024-25 in various government and private nursing institutes in West Bengal. Candidates who qualify will be able to apply for these programs.
One must note that even appearing in the exam and securing a rank does not guarantee admission. The guidelines in force at the time of counselling will determine the allotment and admission requirements.
