Students who study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) stream after class 12th often focus their attention on engineering. Many engineering aspirants aim to study in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
However, even after clearing the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced examinations, many are unable to decide which IIT college to study in. One of the deciding factors is which IIT attracts a good salary package through placements.
Campus placement drive for the batch of 2024-25 has started in IIT-BHU, in which 257 companies have participated so far. As of December 5, the institute received 881 job offers, with the highest package being Rs 1.65 crore per annum and average CTC of Rs 30 lakh.
A total of 399 internship offers were made by 87 companies for pre-final year students. These include big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Nvidia.
262 pre-placement offers in final placement
71 companies made 262 pre-placement offers (PPOs) for final year students. Major recruiters include names like Microsoft, Uber, Oracle, Intuit and Fidelity.
day 1: 89 companies made 170 offers, including top names like Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Alphonso AI.
Day 2: 50 companies made 216 offers, which included big names like Walmart, Paytm, Uber and Cognizant.
Day 3: 15 companies made 86 offers. Tech companies like Infosys, Maven Magnet, Sonalika and WCB Robotics made strong contributions to the placements.
Day 4: 10 companies made 44 offers. Participation from companies like Hitachi, Mphasis, Reliance and Nucleus strengthened the successful placement round.
Partnership from various industries
The companies in the placement drive offered opportunities across various sectors including Oyo Rooms, Tata Steel, FPL, Cashfree, Barco Electronics and Signalchip.
IIT-BHU’s 2024-25 placement drive has been a great success due to its strong industry connections and excellent performance of the students. This campaign has also seen participation from various companies from different sectors.
