Melbourne: Voting started on Saturday for the general election in Australia. During the election campaign in the country, inflation and lack of housing were the major issues. Voting started in eastern Australia at eight in the morning and it will continue till six in the evening. Voting on the west coast will begin and end after two hours due to differences in time zone (time zone). The authorities said that there are one crore 81 lakh registered voters in Australia. Australia is one of the few countries where voting is mandatory. Earlier, 90 percent of the eligible voters voted in the 2022 elections.
