New Delhi. Vivek Oberoi made his acting debut in the year 2002 with the film ‘Company’ and created a stir with his first film itself. He was recently seen in the Rohit Shetty directed web series ‘Indian Police Force’. His acting in this web series was highly praised. Recently he revealed that despite successful films like Masti franchise, ‘Saathiya’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and ‘Omkara’, he had to step into the business world. He claimed that he has become a victim of lobbying of the film industry.

Vivek Oberoi’s film career was almost ruined after he had a public dispute with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and accused Salman of threatening him. Recently he spoke openly about this and said that his films became hits, his acting was praised, but even after that he did not get films and then he had to step into the world of business.

Why did Vivek Oberoi say- you are left with only two options
Talking to India News, Vivek Oberoi said, ‘I have been doing other businesses for some time now. There was a time in my life when my films were hits, acting was appreciated, yet for other reasons if you are not getting any role, when you become a victim of the system and lobby, then you are left with only two options. You get all depressed or take it as a challenge and write your own destiny. I chose to walk on the latter path and started several businesses.

Did messing with Salman Khan prove costly?
Vivek Oberoi’s career hit a downfall after his public spat with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. During a press conference in 2003, Vivek even accused Salman of threatening him due to his then relationship with Aishwarya Rai. After their alleged breakup, Aishwarya got married to Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007.

When Vivek said ‘no’ to Katrina
In one of her interviews at that time, Katrina Kaif had also said that she would not work with Vivek. When Vivek was asked about this, he told Bollywood Hungama, ‘That woman really does not want to work with me? That is the woman’s privilege. Personally, I do not look at my work in that subtle way. I will work with anyone whose script requires me, I will never let my personal prejudices cloud my judgment… Anyway, I do not want to focus on negativity.’

Vivek Oberoi will be seen again in ‘Masti 4’
Talking about Vivek Oberoi’s work front, he will soon be seen in the fourth part of the popular franchise ‘Masti’. Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani will be seen together for the fourth time with Vivek in the film.
