Local media outlet VNXPress quoted the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Department as saying that about 30 electric poles fell, while many trees and rice fields became frozen. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, 17 people are missing in Quang Tri and Jia Lai provinces till Monday morning.
Two people have been reported to have died due to floods and trees falling in a city named HU and Than Hoa province. A representative of the plant informed that at around 10 pm on Sunday night, the coal storage roof of a thermal power plant located in the Central Ha Tinh province collapsed due to heavy rains and strong winds. It is expected to take several months to repair it.
