Moscow: Russian President Putin has once again given sleepless nights to Western countries including America. Even before the election victory in Russia, Putin has made the western countries realize the strength of Russia. In fact, Russian President Vladimir Putin flew as a co-pilot in a nuclear-capable bomber aircraft on Thursday. It is believed that the purpose of Russian President Putin’s ride in this bomber plane is to show his strong image before the elections to be held next month.
Putin rode in the Tu-160M supersonic bomber aircraft for about 30 minutes. Through this flight, Putin’s aim was to show the strength of Russia’s nuclear power amid increasing tension with Western countries over the war in Ukraine. However, the route of the aircraft has not been disclosed during the flight. The special thing about this aircraft is that it is capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
In fact, the Tu-160M supersonic bomber aircraft is a modernized version of the Cold War-era bomber, which the former Soviet Union would have used to carry missiles over long distances in the event of a nuclear war. The Tu-160M bomber has space for four crew members. It can carry 12 cruise missiles or 12 short-range nuclear missiles and can fly up to 12,000 kilometers (7,500 mi) without stopping and refueling.
