Rajesh Yabji, co-founder and chief executive officer of online trucking platform Blackbalk, announced on Tuesday that the company is going out of its Belandur office in the outer ring road (ORR) in Bengaluru, creating a bad road infrastructure and daily commuting challenges.

CEO cites bad road conditions
According to Yavaji, the decision to move was operated by several factors, such as the difficulty of coming to the company employees, lack of poor road conditions and scope of change.
He highlighted the following issues in the post:

– Roads filled with pits and dust, together with the lowest intentions to fix them
– There was no change in the next 5 years
Although the chief executive did not mention the new location in the post, an X user said the new place of the company could be SEZ Devnhali, which is located in the northern part of Bengaluru.

Bangalore’s infrastructure crisis
In the late 1990s, the outer ring road of Bengaluru was constructed to connect the city to major highways and remove heavy vehicles. It was not designed for residential and office traffic. However, most technology firms installed their expansion offices in areas around the ORR, including Whitefield, Sarjapur, Marathhalli, and Bellandur – which lead to the increase in traffic of offices.
People living in Bengaluru have previously reported the same issues related to the infrastructure and traffic related to the poor road. In July, the co-founder of ISIATrip, Prashant Pitti, experienced a road crowd in Bengaluru, stuck in traffic for more than two hours. Post that incident, Pitti pledged 1 crore to identify choke points and solve the problem.
