Following the allegations on Friday, five teachers of the school were also arrested that students from other districts were seen there for their class -12 CBSE board examinations, “Assurance of use of inappropriate means to score high marks”.

“The police demanded a seven -day custody for the accused. However, the court ruled that the accused is sent to judicial custody with the police so that they can be questioned in jail if needed.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commented on Haq’s arrest, saying that he knew about a “big network”, which promises students through unfair means.
He claimed that such fraud measures were not limited to CBSE-operated examinations, but were also taking place in medical entrance examinations.
Sarma also alleged that right is a “great fraud, his entire background is fraud”.

Haq was also entangled in a dispute last year, too, on his OBC certificate, which he obtained “fraud” in the Sribhumi district in the 1990s.
Sarma said in August 2024 that a police case would be registered against the USTM Chancellor to allegedly obtain the OBC certificate, which was later canceled.
The Chief Minister blamed the USTM and right against the “flood jihad” against Guwahati, stating that the water flowing below the Versity Campus, which is situated on a hill adjacent to the city, leads to a massive flood. .
