Usha Vance is the first Indian-origin second lady of America to be sworn in as Vice President by her husband James David Vance. The 39-year-old, married to JD Vance since 2014, was seen wearing a bubblegum pink dress during the presidential inauguration parade event in Washington.
Usha’s Oscar de la Renta dress
Yale Law graduate and accomplished trial lawyer Usha Chilukuri Vance chose an Oscar de la Renta ensemble for the historic event. The luxury fashion house shared details of her outfit on Instagram and wrote, “For the 60th Inauguration Ceremony, Second Lady Usha Vance wore a custom peony cashmere coat with a scarf wrap and a tea-length dress.”
The cashmere trench coach features padded shoulders, full-length sleeves with turned cuffs, a flowy silhouette, and a wrap scarf-style neckline that’s tucked in around the neck. She cinched the coat with a matching pink belt, keeping her dupatta tied around her waist.
Usha Vance paired this beautiful coat with a matching dress, which reached mid-hem length. To top off the outfit, she opted for taupe colored suede knee-high heels and flower-shaped pearl earrings. Tying her salt-and-pepper hair back into a side-parted sleek bun, she opted for a minimal, no-makeup look for glam, featuring feathered eyebrows, pink lips, kohl-lined eyes and puffy Cheeks included.

Before the pink look, Usha wore a beautiful black gown by Oscar de la Renta at Trump’s pre-inauguration ceremony. She wore a custom noir velvet gown with asymmetric floral accents and a sweetheart, strapless neckline. The front knee-high slit, bodycon silhouette and floor-length hem added a feminine touch to the ensemble.
Maintaining the aesthetic of minimalism, she paired the ensemble with matching black pumps and beautiful diamond studs. She tied her salt-and-pepper hair into a side-parted twisted bun and for glam, she opted for feathered eyebrows, mascara-laden lashes, flushed cheeks and light mauve lipstick.
