Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the recruitment of 5,272 posts for female health workers (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife or ANM). Of these, 4,892 vacancies are for women health workers under general selection, and 380 are for special selection. Interested candidates must apply online through the official website of the Commission. The application process will start on October 28, 2024 and the last date for submission of applications has been set as November 27, 2024.

Applicants must have completed a two-year Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) program from a government recognized institute in India.
Candidates are required to qualify the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2023 conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 40 years as on July 1, 2024.
There is a policy of age relaxation, which allows an additional three years for OBC candidates and five years for SC/ST candidates.
Qualifications for ANM Recruitment 2024:
Candidates must have completed 12th class and then successfully complete a one-and-a-half to two-year Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) course, which includes six months of practical training in Obstetrics. Additionally, applicants must be registered with the UP Nursing and Midwifery Council in Lucknow. Also, candidates must have the scorecard of UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 to be considered for recruitment.

The examination pattern for the recruitment of female health workers under the UP Directorate General of Family Welfare has been announced.
