Hazaribagh school principal and vice principal arrested in NEET-UG paper leak case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the principal and vice principal of a school in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh in connection with the alleged NEET UG paper leak case. Oasis School principal Ehsanul Haque and school vice principal Imtiyaz Alam were appointed as city coordinator and centre coordinator respectively for the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) medical entrance exam at the institute in Hazaribagh on May 5. Lok Sabha adjourned amid uproar over NEET 2024
On June 28, Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day as members of the Congress, TMC and DMK parties created a ruckus in the House demanding a discussion on alleged irregularities in the conduct of the medical entrance exam, NEET. Delhi International Airport Limited constitutes committee to investigate the collapse of Terminal 1 roof
After the roof collapsed at Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has constituted a technical committee to investigate the incident. One person died and at least eight others were injured in the incident. The authority said that the primary cause of the accident appears to be the continuous heavy rains in the national capital. Additionally, DIAL is working in collaboration with concerned agencies including Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCAS), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Delhi Police to assess the situation and restore operations.Read more
Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren gets bail in land scam case
Hemant Soren was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court on June 28. The former Jharkhand chief minister was in custody in connection with an alleged land scam case. Soren’s lawyer Arunabh Chaudhary said the High Court has held that prima facie he is not guilty of the crime. The bail order triggered celebrations in Ranchi as Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party workers distributed sweets at Hemant Soren’s residence.Read more
Delhi excise policy case: CBI gets 3-day remand of Arvind Kejriwal
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged excise policy scam case. The Rouse Avenue Court has allowed the agency to question the AAP leader. He has been sent to three-day CBI custody and will be produced in court on June 29. The CBI had sought five-day custody of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.Read more
