Union Public Service Commission (Union Public Service Commission) UPSC has released the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) 2024. Candidates who appeared for UPSC CSE 2024 will be able to download the results at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC CSE exam was conducted on June 16 in two shifts for General Studies Paper 1 and Paper 2 and had a total of 400 marks. The question paper consisted of objective type questions with 4 options each.
Candidates who clear the preliminary exam will be called for the next round: UPSC CSE Mains. It consists of two parts: a written exam and a personality test. According to the commission’s exam calendar, the main exam is scheduled to begin on September 20.
Like last year, this time also the exam was conducted on 26th May and the results were released on 12th June.

UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024: Steps to Download
Step 1. First of all visit the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.
Step 2. Click on the UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) Result 2024 link on the homepage.
Step 3. A new page will open in which you will be asked to fill in all the required details.
Step 4. Select the “Submit” option and your results will be displayed.
Step 5. Download and don’t forget to save a copy for your future needs.
Additionally, candidates should know that the marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of the CS (P) exam of 2024 will be posted on the website of the commission only after the completion of the civil services examination and declaration of final results.
A total of 1056 vacancies will be filled in central government services and departments through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam. This includes the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Out of the total vacancies, 40 are for persons with benchmark disability category.
