In a notable story of patience, sacrifice, and heritage, Aman Pratap Singh from Gazipur district of Uttar Pradesh officially joined the rank of the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a flight officer, continuing a glorious tradition of four generations of military service in his family. Their commissioning marked by the Grand Passing Parade held at the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad on 14 June is more than an individual milestone; This is a proud moment for an entire village and one district.
Aman is from Carranda Basant Patti village in Gazipur, and with this achievement, he follows the footsteps of his ancestors who served in various branches of the armed forces. His great -grandfather served the Indian Army, his grandfather Sheetaldon Singh was with the Indian Navy, and his father Manoj Singh wore a blue uniform of the Indian Air Force. After cleaning the selection process, Aman started his training at the prestigious Air Force Academy in Hyderabad. His year-long training ended at the passing out parade on 14 June-a symbolic and formal moment when the cadets officially became an officer in the Indian Air Force.
The event was explained by Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, who served as a review officer. Addressing the new commission officials, he said, “When you chose to serve the nation, you chose a path that demands the most, yet gives the highest honor.” He administered the oath to the officials and reminded him of the role of the Air Force as the first respondent of the country at the time of crisis.
Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary also mentioned Operation Sindoor, which appreciated the IAF’s accuracy and preparations for complex operations. “As a future patron, you should understand the increasing nature of the rapidly developed nature and the increasing strategic relevance of aerospace power,” he said.
252 new officers fly
With Aman, a total of 252 cadets were commissioned during the parade. These included officers in flying, technical and non-technical branches.
