A government school teacher here was suspended on Sunday for allegedly pulling the hair and kicking a Class 5 student, officials said. The incident reportedly took place at a primary school in Bisauli a few days ago.
Manish Kumar Singh, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) of Ballia district, said that a complaint was received against Ajit Yadav that he dragged a girl by her hair and kicked her. After receiving the complaint, the Bairia Block Education Officer (BEO) conducted an investigation on August 13.
Singh said students in the girl’s class told officials that Yadav pulled the girl’s hair and kicked her. He said the victim also spoke to the investigating officers and told them about the incident.
Singh said that the teacher’s act was in violation of the provisions of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 and the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999.
He said Yadav has been suspended and the BEO has been directed to submit a report within 15 days.
