An alleged case of mental harassment of an eight-year-old student at a private school has come to light after the child started showing signs of distress like crying in his sleep and writing “help” in his books and on the walls of his home, police said on Friday.
On December 23, a case was registered against four staff members of the school in Sen Paschim Para, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for mentally harassing a Class 2 boy after he accused him of stealing a pen, PTI reported.
According to the police, based on the complaint of the boy’s mother, an FIR has been registered against school director Devraj Singh Rajawat, principal Anuprit Rawal and teachers Sangeeta Malik and Swatantra Agnihotri.
In her complaint, the child’s mother claimed that her son was falsely accused of stealing a pen in school and was mentally harassed.
