The name of this place “Satbahini” is related to the mythological story of seven sisters. It is believed that seven sisters who came here to take bath had committed Sati, after which the idol was established here. Priest Praveen Pandey told Local 18 that there is also a 300-year-old Samadhi place of Shyam Baba at this place. This site is spread over 24 acres and the greenery here mesmerizes the tourists. The beauty of this place increases even more during the rainy season, when the water of the waterfall flows in abundance.

Dhananjay Prasad, who came from Palamu, said that he comes here every year with his family. The view of the waterfall and the sight of the temple draw them here again and again. First-time visitor Ranjit Kashyap said the place was a delight, and he would plan to visit again.
Picnic and Puja:
Here people sit near the waterfall, have a picnic, take bath and have darshan of the Mother Goddess. This pilgrimage site remains open from 5 am to 6 pm. Every year a Yagya is organized here on the day of Magh Purnima. The 25th Yagya will be organized on 13th February.
