The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC), who is currently facing allegations of a paper leakage in his graduation, has said that its upcoming recruitment exam will be conducted on time for more than 5,000 government posts, as reported by news agency PTI.
UKSSSC President Ganesh Singh Martolia said on Wednesday that all the examinations prescribed by June 2026 for various government department posts will proceed as per the scheme.
“Now, there is an exam on 5 October, then on 12 October another, and then on 28 October Physical Efficiency Test for Forests. There is a series of such examinations. As of June 2026, the recruitment examination for about 5,000 to 5,500 posts is scheduled,” he said.
He said that a total of 10,000 to 12,000 government posts are in total, out of which about 4,500 to 5,000 posts have already been completed. The end results for these will be declared immediately after the document verification and physical tests.
It was suspected whether the commission would be delayed in the upcoming recruitment examination after a three -page report from a center in Haridwar during the graduate level examination on 21 September.
However, Martolia assured that, learning from previous incidents, the Commission is strengthening security measures. He said that meetings have been held with District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police to use biometric verification, horrificity of candidates and mobile jammers inside the centers.
According to him, each examination center will be completely cleaned a day before the test and will remain under the security forces’ clock until the examination starts.
He also said that candidates will have to report to the examination center two hours before the examination starts. At the entrance, they will undergo biometric checks and a completely physical discovery, including removing their shoes.
Meanwhile, in the paper leak case, the police said that Khalid Malik, the main accused, who was arrested, admitted during interrogation that he had hidden his mobile phone inside the examination center a day before the test. He allegedly used the phone to click on the three -page photos of the question paper and then sent them to his sister from the washroom.
