Donald Trump has somewhat mixed feelings about Tim Walz – the newly chosen running mate of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The Republican leader has called it a ‘shocking’ selection that is “very offensive to anyone who wants security”. He also said that Walz was the “smarter version” of Harris who wanted to help the US “immediately stop being communist”.

“There’s never been a ticket like this before. This is a ticket that wants this country to go communist immediately, if not sooner. ‘We don’t want any security, we don’t want anything.’ He’s very interested in transgender, he’s very interested in everything related to transgender. And [Walz] “This is not where the country is on anything,” he stressed on Fox & Friends.

The former president told the show’s hosts that Walz is a “more sensible version of him” and perhaps “even better than Bernie Sanders.” He previously thanked Harris on social media for her selection.
