Raipur. In Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, tires of many vehicles burst due to speed breakers. Although speed breakers are installed to control the speed of vehicles and for better traffic management, but in Raipur speed breakers have become a cause of trouble for the people. Actually, the traffic police has installed tire killer breakers on the roads in Raipur to stop the vehicles coming from the wrong direction so that the tire of the vehicle bursts and the driver does not make such a mistake again. But, surprisingly, this method is completely illegal. There has been a revelation in the RTI report in which it has been told that speed breakers that tear tires are illegal on the roads of Raipur. There is no provision for this in the ‘Motor Vehicle Act’.

Tires of many vehicles burst
RTI activist Kunal Shukla had sought information about this, in response to the Right to Information Act, the Office of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Public Information Officer, Traffic Raipur said that there is no provision for these illegal speed breakers in the Motor Vehicle Act.
An officer said. ‘There are no provisions in the Motor Vehicle Act regarding installation of tire slashing speed breakers.’ It is surprising that when there is no provision for it in the law then why are these tire killer speed breakers installed at many places in Raipur. Due to this, tires of many people’s vehicles have burst.
