AIIMS Delhi topped the NIRF 2025 rankings in the category of Best Medical College. In addition to MBBS, the institute offers several BSC courses such as nursing, optometry, dental hygiene, among others. AIIMS Delhi offers several postgraduate courses such as MSc, MD, MS, MDS as well as PhD and Fellowships. Its estimated annual tuition fee is Rs 6,075.

Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Institute (PGIMER) Chandigarh has retained second place. Since it is an institution funded by a government, the fee is nominal.

The Christian Medical College (CMC) retained the third position in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The estimated fee for the first year is ₹ 41,895.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry retained the fifth place. The first year fee is around ₹ 14,920.

Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Lucknow is expected to retain its sixth position.

The Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU (IMS-BHU) Varanasi was ranked seventh in the NIRF rankings last year.

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) takes fourth place in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The fee can be anywhere between ₹ 25,000- ₹ 53,000/year on the basis of the program. (Image: Nimhans)
