Actor Tom Hiddleston says although he’s unsure about the future of his acclaimed Disney+ series Loki, he believes creators have reached a “narrative conclusion” with the second season, which premiered last year Was. The British star, who has played the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 14 years, was asked on the Jimmy Kimmel Live talk show if he was finished playing the Asgardian god of mischief and adoptive brother of Thor. Tom is returning as Loki
Tom said in his response to Jimmy Kimmel: “I don’t know. “I really don’t know.” He said, “I know that with Season 2 we have reached some kind of narrative conclusion, which I find very gratifying.”
While the character was introduced as an antagonist, the actor said he never saw Loki as an antagonist. Hiddleston said, “At one point he was making some bad decisions” and then he made “a little more generous, loving and heroic decision.”
The Golden Globe winner said that playing Loki “completely” changed the direction of his life. “Every time someone says that, it blows my mind,” he said.
Tom on returning to The Night Manager
Tom is returning for two new seasons of his popular series The Night Manager, with the actor reprising his role of Jonathan Pine.
Filming is expected to begin this summer on the revival of the hit drama series, which is inspired by the characters from John le Carré’s bestselling novel of the same name.
“To be honest, we were really trying to get the story right. And we were talking, working very closely with John le Carré, the great writer who wrote the original novel, who passed away tragically a few years ago. But it had a huge impact on the story,” Tom said.
The Night Manager was also adapted for India by Sandeep Modi last year. The Hindi version stars Aditya Roy Kapur as Tom, Anil Kapoor as Hugh Laurie, Shobhita Dhulipala as Elizabeth Debicki and Tillotama Shome as Olivia Colman.
