The higher the detailing and the higher the size, the more time it takes. Thang painting is different, because it takes a lot of hard work and a very fine work is done. Posters, acrylic and stone color are used to make this painting.

Sonam Lama said that the price of these paintings can be 500 rupees to 2 lakh 50 thousand or even more. The most expensive painting of him was sold for 18 lakh rupees. This painting was made for the monastery of the outside country, which was made by 7 people together. Lama says that we have a group, in which 10 to 11 people work together. During the off season, 25 people also join the group. Lama says that he started this work at the age of 14, now it has been about 28 years. With this, it has been almost 11 years to the people associated in the group.
