Saharanpur: Saharanpur of UP has been selected among the smart city cities, under which various works are being done under Smart City and Municipal Corporation to make the city smart. At the same time, various ponds come under Saharanpur Smart City, but the pond built near the Commissioner’s Office of Saharanpur will be developed as a picnic spot.

Various facilities will be provided near this pond which will become a picnic spot in Saharanpur Smart City, including swings for children, walking tracks, chairs to sit, boating facilities for children. People from far and wide can come to this picnic spot to enjoy picnic. Also, other ponds of the city will be developed under Amrit Sarovar.
The pond is ready as a picnic spot
While talking to Local 18, Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Chauhan said that Smart City and Municipal Corporation are constantly making efforts for the beautification of the city. In this sequence, a big pond near the Commissioner’s Office on Hasanpur Chungi Road is to be developed as a picnic spot. The basic infrastructure of the pond has been created. A plant will be installed inside that pond to clean the water.

He said that arrangements are also being made for recharging the water. Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Chauhan said that this is a big pond inside the city. Therefore, there is a plan to develop this pond as a picnic spot.
Know what will be the facilities
He also said that there is a project on which work is being done to provide boating facilities for children, construction of a jetty for walking inside the pond, walking tracks for roaming around the pond, benches for people to sit, swings for children etc. Soon this park will be visible to people in its real form. Along with this, other 7 ponds of the city will also be developed under the Amrit Sarovar Yojana.
