According to Historical Yunus Khan, its construction was started by Nizam Salabhat Jung in 1750. However, the Nizam was Afzar-ud-Daula Bahadur who overturned the completion of the project between 1857 and 1869. The palace was spread over 45 acres from Lad Bazaar to Asapan Chowk Road in the north.
