iQOO has confirmed that Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro will get OriginOS 6 update based on Android 16 in the first half of 2026. Know which iQOO phones will get the update and how to install it. What will change in the phone after the arrival of this update?
Photo: iqoo z10 lite 5g.iQOO has officially confirmed that iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO Neo 7 Pro will get the OriginOS 6 update in the first half of 2026. This new operating system will be based on Android 16 and will see better performance, new design and smooth user experience. The company made this announcement on its community forum, where iQOO said that the new OS update will bring ‘a completely new experience’ for users.
Let us see when and for which phones OriginOS 6 will be rolled out. Both iQOO and Vivo companies are now gradually removing Funtouch OS from their smartphones and shifting to OriginOS 6. According to the company, the update schedule will start from November. See the complete list…
- November 2025: iQOO 13, iQOO 12.
- December 2025: iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10R, Neo 9 Pro.
- 1st half 2026: iQOO Neo 7, Neo 7 Pro, iQOO 11, Z10 5G, Z10R 5G, Z10x 5G, Z9 5G, Z9s Pro 5G, and Z9s 5G.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya has confirmed that the Neo 7 series has also been included in this update, which was not in the list earlier.
How to Install OriginOS 6 Update?
- The company has given some suggestions before updating:
- Be sure to backup your phone’s data.
- Connect the phone to Wi-Fi.
- Keep the battery more than 50% charged.
Steps to update:
- Settings > System > Download software updates.
- Let the system check for updates.
- If OriginOS 6 / Android 16 appears, tap on ‘Download’ or ‘Download & Install’.
- Once the download is complete, press ‘Install’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
- After the phone reboots, verify the update.
