New Delhi. Adult website Pornhub has announced that it will no longer be available in the state of Florida from January 1, 2025. With this, it will become the 13th state of America where the platform has withdrawn services due to strict age verification requirements.
Actually, HB3 law is in force in Florida. According to this, websites with harmful content for minors will have to undergo age verification through government identification. But the website has decided not to comply with the age verification laws of the state and thus is closing the doors of Pornhub to its users in the state. Florida users visiting the platform are now seeing a message written on the website that “You will lose access to Pornhub within 14 days.”

Pornhub’s parent company Aylo argues that device-level verification is more effective. The company said in favor of its decision that the best way to make the Internet safe, maintain the privacy of users and prevent children from accessing adult content is to have age verification on the device.

Pornhub’s parent company Aylo said that similar laws in other states have pushed users towards riskier options. After implementing ID verification in Louisiana, Pornhub’s traffic declined by 80 percent. Aiello said that these people did not stop watching porn. They simply relegated to the dark corners of the Internet, where users are not asked to do age verification, who do not follow the law, who do not take user security seriously, and who often do not even moderate the content.
