He reacted to a video on weight loss by Mandy Ansari, a New York -based content manufacturer, which gave birth in January 2025. In the video, he said, “People always ask me what is the easiest way to dilute the bottom rapidly for an event that you have in a week; and I have 8000–10,000 steps a day: every day, 8000-10,000 steps.”

Dr. Sood said, “This is why some people can actually help some people to burn fat than running. When you run, which is a high-spurning workout, your body will mainly use carbohydrates for energy. Running will also increase your cortisol. Your body is difficult to run.

He said, “The advantages of walking are: It is low-splitting, it will not hungry you, and it will still burn calories, which will make it easier for you to get calories.”

Finally, Dr. Sood said, “There are other advantages of running, such as for some people, it can improve their mental health; and in that case, running can still be a better option for you. This video is to tell that if we are just talking strictly about fat loss, some people can get this fast with just walking.”
