The rules of Amazon Prime membership will change in the new year, will the plan become expensive? know

If so, then it is important for you to know that Amazon is going to make some changes in the rules of membership in the coming year. Now this question must be coming in your mind that is Amazon going to increase the prices of membership? Let us know what Amazon is planning.

The news is that Amazon is changing its Prime membership terms in India. There will be changes in the rules regarding how much streaming can happen from the same account at one time. The company can now put a cap on the number of TVs. If you understand this in such a way that on your membership, Amazon Prime is being streamed on two or three TVs, then from the new year onwards you probably will not be able to do so.

According to reports, Prime members will now be able to access Prime Video on five devices with a maximum of two TVs. Users watching Prime Video on more than two TVs will now have to purchase a separate subscription to continue watching on a third TV. According to the Amazon help page, this change will come into effect from January 2025. Currently, Prime members can stream on up to five devices without any restrictions on device type.

Let us tell you that Netflix had also taken similar steps a year ago. The company offers many plans in Amazon Prime membership. Monthly plans of Rs 299, quarterly Rs 599 and annual plans of Rs 1499 are available. There are also some other subscription options like Prime Lite, which is priced at Rs 799 per year and Prime Shopping Edition which is priced at Rs 399 per year.

Even if the company has not made any change in the prices. But the user will have to pay separately to add an extra device. If you are heavily dependent on TV streaming then you may have to lighten your pocket a bit.
