According to an official statement, the Odisha government has revealed a new color code for buildings of all government schools including PM Shri schools across the state.
The Odisha School Education Program Authority (Osepa) has directed all collectors-cum-chairman to implement the same color code in all government schools.
Under the BJD government, all government schools across Odisha were painted in green, including official buildings. However, with changes in the government, the color of official buildings was converted into light orange frost with an orange-tan border.
In addition, the BJP government modified the color and design of school uniforms for classes IX and X, converting them from green to light brown and maroon a few months after taking the office.
Earlier on Wednesday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a photo gallery exhibition to honor the legendary leader and former Chief Minister, the late Biju Patnaik, along with Deputy CMS KV Singh Dev and Pravati Parida.
The exhibition held at Jaidev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to mark his 109th birth anniversary includes more than 100 photos showing more than 100 photographs from the life of Biju Patnaik, including his leadership, global interaction and contribution, along with major Indian data from various fields.
