Head of Hospitality The Oberoi Group The Oberoi Group, on the occasion of its 90th anniversary, announced the launch of the Oberoi Group Scholarship Programme to honour the legacy of its founders and empower the next generation of hospitality leaders. Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi founded the hospitality giant and Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi carried forward the legacy.
To honor the legacy of the two leaders, the Oberoi Group offers two different scholarships. According to a press statement released by the Oberoi Group, the details of the scholarship programs are as follows:

– Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi – ‘Dare to Dream’ Scholarship: Named after the pioneering founder, this scholarship is open to hotel operations staff outside the Oberoi Group in India. It encourages individuals to dream big and excel in their careers, reflecting Rai Bahadur’s belief in the power of ambition and hard work.
– Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi – ‘Be the Best’ Scholarship: Named in honour of the visionary leader who put India on the map for the international luxury traveller, this scholarship is available to hotel operations staff of the Oberoi Group in India and abroad. It is designed to inspire employees to strive for the highest standards of excellence, reflecting Oberoi’s commitment to setting new benchmarks in luxury and service.
The scholarships provide the opportunity to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospitality at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL). The scholarship recipient will be able to pursue a two-year MBA program that combines three weeks of on-site experience with virtual learning at the EHL campus in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Over the course of two years, recipients will stay and experience some of the world’s best hotels on a ‘Best Practice Tour’, gaining insight into global best practices in hospitality.
According to the press statement, The Oberoi Group has set the standard for luxury and service in the hospitality industry for over 90 years. Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi is often referred to as the father of the Indian hotel industry, who built the group on a commitment to quality and personalized service.
The Oberoi Group, founded in 1934, operates 31 hotels and two Nile cruisers. It is present in seven countries under the luxury Oberoi and five-star Trident brands. The group also deals in flight catering, airport restaurants, car rentals and corporate air charter.
