According to this discovery, the speed of internet per second will be 402 terabits. This will be 16 lakh times faster than the internet available as compared to the broadband normally found in homes.

According to the report, this feat has been achieved by the scientists of Aston University. The special thing is that they have been able to achieve this high speed of internet by using the fiber-optic cable available in the market. In the month of March this year, scientists made a record. Usually one or two wavelengths band is used in fiber-optic broadband connection. Scientists achieved a speed of 301 Tbps by using 4 to 6 wavelengths in these wavelengths. The speed obtained from this was 25 times faster.
According to Ian Phillips, who was a part of the research team, the discovery we made will have far reaching consequences. It will also help in increasing the capacity of single fiber. If this technology is used in the future, optical cable communication will develop rapidly. Along with this, the demand for data services will also increase rapidly.
