Mahindra has quietly added a new version OT XUV700 to the lineup. Because of this, the owner of the all-wheel drive XUV700 has become inexpensive as the all-wheel drive is now available from AX7. Earlier, it was available only on the top-end AX7L variants. The new XUV700 AX7 AWD is priced 23.04 million East-Shorroom. Not only this, customers can also choose the option of new Ebony version with new AX7 AWD trim.

There are no changes in the engine of the new version. So, like the AX7L AWD, the AX7 AWD is available only with a diesel engine. It is a 2.2-liter MHAWK unit at 3,500 rpm for 182 bhp and tuned for a peak torque output of 450 Nm at 1,750 to 2,800 rpm. It only comes for a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

On other variants, the AX7 trim is equipped with advanced driver AIDS system, side airbags, tire pressure monitoring systems, intelligent control, automatic headlamps and wiper and driver’s drowsiness. Cosmetic changes made are 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, leatherlet steering wheels, seats and gear liver.

Other features added by the brand are 6-way operated seats, with a welcome retract, auto booster, air purifier, steering mounted button, electric folding orvms with LED headlamps, smart closes, dual-zone climate controls and a tish-drivers with co-draft argo leaves.
Mahindra becomes the fastest growing car brand in Africa
Mahindra has established herself as the fastest growing motor vehicle brand in South Africa, leading to an impressive growth of 40 percent of monthly sales in the last one year. In March, the Indian manufacturer set a new sales record by selling 2,253 units, with the first 2,000 sales to exceed the milestone and crossed its previous record of 1,613 registrations. In addition, Mahindra reached the annual sales record of 15,088 vehicles for the financial year ending in March 2025. During this record-breaking period, Mahindra crossed all his self-aggrandized goals.
For example, in March, it achieved the highest monthly sales of SUVs in 1,000 units, the most sold in 1,256 units in a month, and the largest number of Scorpio-N SUVs was given in 145 units in a month. These achievements have inspired Mahindra to become the eighth largest vehicle manufacturer in South Africa.
The company aims to maintain its growth in the region and has announced the establishment of a new manufacturing center at Duba Tradeport at Durban, Quazulu-Nottal. This feature will replace the existing factory and is equipped with advanced assembly capabilities, allowing Mahindra to produce the boundary of pick-up trucks. The new plant has a production capacity of more than 1,000 units per month compared to the production of current feature of about 700 units. In addition to various body forms of the brand Scorpio, XUV provides models like 3xo, Bolero pick-up truck, XUV700 and Scorpio N.
