In a disappointing development bound to one of the most tragic films of Studio Ghibali, Grave of the Fireflies, composer Michio Maamia’s death is now being reported only worldwide. Japanese Mestro died tragically last year on 11 December 2024 due to pneumonia. He was 95 years old.
His family organized a vigilance on 17 December, and performed a funeral on 18 December according to Anime News Network.
