Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s romantic family-drama may soon join your binge-watch list. The Family Star is ready for its OTT release. However, the Vijay-Mrunal starrer will face tough competition from Tollywood romantic crime-comedy Tillu Square. Both the films will be available for streaming on the same date. The Family Star
Family Star highlights the life of a middle-class family and their relationships. Vijay aka Govardhan goes through trust issues, ego and dilemma in his relationships amidst his quest to achieve greatness in life. The Vijay-Mrunal starrer is directed by Parashuram and will be available for streaming from April 26. The romantic-drama also stars Rohini, Jagapathi Babu, Vasuki and Abhinay in lead roles.
India Today quoted the actor as saying, “Playing Govardhan in The Family Star was an extremely rewarding experience. He is your ideal but real hero, a man who bears the responsibility of his entire family without complaining or seeking recognition for his personal sacrifices. Their journey reflects the everyday struggles and triumphs of the middle class, which will appeal to audiences across cultures.” The Telugu love story will release on Prime Video.
Tilo Square
Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran will be seen in the romantic crime-comedy Tillu Square. DJ Tillu aka Bala Gangadhar Tilak (played by Sidhu) comes across a mysterious murder while searching for his girlfriend Lily Joseph. Anupama plays the role of Lily in the dark romantic-comedy directed by Mallik Ram. This film is the sequel of DJ Tillu (2022). Sidhu has reprized his role in the second installment. Tillu Square also stars Muralidhar Gaur, Murali Sharma and Neha Shetty in important roles. This film was praised by Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. Sidhu shared a video of his meeting with the actor and wrote, “The man himself! Thanks to megastar @chiranjeevikonidela garu for being so encouraging and motivating. You are the inspiration that drives us to never give up! (Three heart emojis).” Tillu Square will release on Netflix on April 22.
