New Delhi. Leaving Hero MotoCorp behind in terms of sales, Japanese bike maker Honda Motorcycles has become the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. Looking at the wholesale sales figures of July 2024, Honda Motorcycle has sold 4,39,118 units in the domestic market and registered exports of 43,982 units. Honda’s wholesale sales stood at a total of 4,83,100 units.
During the same period, Hero MotoCorp sold 3,47,535 units in the domestic market and exported 22,739 units. Hero’s wholesale sales stood at a total of 3,70,274 units of vehicles.
Hero reduced dispatch
Regarding the decline in domestic sales last month, Hero says that the company is facing problems in supply chain and transport. Due to which the dispatch of vehicles has decreased and due to this a decline in sales is being seen. Hero has claimed that the company will compensate for the loss in domestic sales by the festivals.
These models are in highest demand
Honda’s best-selling models include Shine 100, Shine 125, SP125, SP160, Unicorn, Activa and Activa 125. Hero’s best-selling models include HF Deluxe, Splendor+, Passion+, Glamour and Zoom.
