An anesthesiologist and interventional pen medicine specialist Dr. Kunal Sood has underlined everyday habits that have surprising health benefits. In an Instagram video posted on 3 October, the doctor revealed six daily habits, which you can practice every day – from running after meals to cold rain – and explains why they are beneficial.

Cold shower improves mood

Dr. According to Sood, cold exposure can trigger a bounce of norpnephrine, which raises the mood and enhances vigilance. He explains, “Trials show that hot-to-tongue shower can reduce self-reported sick days and increase alleged energy. Evidence for depression is limited but promising.”

Walking after meals balances glucose spikes

Dr. Sood suggests that walking for 10 to 30 foods after eating food helps to balance glucose spikes. It also “helps with reflux, and in older adults can prevent subsequent food drops in blood pressure. The best results come from small walking spread throughout the day.”

Lifting weight reduces insulin
