In a major archaeological discovery, experts have found a massive 3-room royal tomb. It was 7 meters underground in Abidos in Egypt. It was found under an ancient necropolis, also known as the “city of the city”. However, no one knows whose is it.
By the Penn Museum and under the leadership of Missrolologist Joseph Vegner, it is considered from the Abidos dynasty forgotten the larger limestone structure. It has been over 3,600 years.
CNN quoted Vegnar as saying, “This is a very mysterious, esoteric dynasty that is originally forgotten from the ancient record of Egypt as it was in this era of political decay and fragmentation.”
This makes this discovery unique, while the mausoleum shown great wealth, its name was destroyed, possibly by Graverbars. No bones are inside to help solve the mystery.
The burial site is located under the holy Anubis mountain in Abidos. It has long been believed that the Egyptian god of the underworld is the last resting place of Osiris. Historians consider Abidos as a royal cemetery, where many kings were placed to rest.
Veger’s team first found an unidentified Pharaoh King Seneb-K tomb, which survived. This new-prone tomb, larger and more elaborately built, may belong to a ruler who came to face him.
It is probably King Seneb or King Pengeeni. “It is equally possible that some may be completely unknown kings,” said Veger.
The site adds a spiritual touch that has two living paintings of the goddesses and the naphathi, shown mourning the dead. These images were often included in buried rituals.

Experts believe that many such tombs are buried in the area. Veger’s team plans to scan 10,000 square meters of land using special equipment such as radar and magnetometer to find underground structures.
Salima Ikram, a top Egyptian expert from Cairo, called the discovery “very exciting”. It provides new clues in an ancient Egyptian past that was hidden from a large -scale written record. This mysterious tomb can finally throw a light on the history of the rulers that almost forgotten.
