This waterfall is formed by the confluence of three streams – Chandravanka, Niyamvanka and Nakala Vanka rivers. The falling water from here presents a spectacular view by falling from a height of about 70 feet. During monsoon and subsequent months when the waterfall is in full flow, the sound of falling water and the gust of cool breeze are soothing to the mind.

The most special thing about this waterfall is the blue-green color of its water. This color is caused by the minerals and vegetation present in the surrounding rocks, which gives the water a magical blue hue. When sunlight falls on this water, the view looks even more enchanting.

Ethipothala Falls is located in Nalgonda district of Telangana state, this waterfall is about 11 kilometers from the famous historical site Nagarjunasagar Dam and about 150 kilometers from Hyderabad. This place is popular among tourists not only for its natural beauty but also for the excellent infrastructure built around it. The best time to visit Ethipothala Falls is from July to January. The waterfall is at its peak after monsoon and winter season is ideal for a visit. Water flow may reduce in summer.
