This waterfall is formed by the confluence of three streams – Chandravanka, Niyamvanka and Nakala Vanka rivers. During monsoon and subsequent months when the waterfall is in full flow, the sound of falling water and the gust of cool breeze are soothing to the mind.

The waterfall is at its peak after monsoon and winter season is ideal for a visit. Water flow may reduce in summer.
