Last month, Tesla introduced its model Y at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) with an initial price of Rs 59.89 lakh, opened its first experience center at the Maker Maxity Commercial Complex. On the occasion of the launch of his car, Tesla announced the opening of eight supercharging stalls in Mumbai.
Car full charge in 30 minutes
V4 The charging speed of the supercharger will be up to 250 kW. It can charge the car fast in 20–30 minutes. To charge the battery, you have to pay the money at the rate of Rs 24 per kW. At the same time, the Destination Charger will charge the car with a speed of 11 kW. For this, money will have to be paid at Rs 14 per kW.
Only tesla cars will be charged
At present, the Tesla Charger will be available only for Tesla cars. The main difference is the fastest speed of Tesla Supercharger, but only for Tesla users. However, other chargers support cheap and more brands.
How is Tesla Charging Station different from others
Now the question is how this charging infrastructure of Tesla is different from the pre -existing EV charging network (eg Tata Power, Ether, Statiq etc.) in India? Tata, Ether and other companies offer both AC and DC charging options. Their charging speed varies from 3.3 kw to 60 kW and charging can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Talking about the price, a charge is charged up to ₹ 10 – ₹ 18 per kW. The special thing is that these charger supports EV of all brands.
