New Delhi. JSW MG Motor has launched its ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ (BaaS) program. Under this scheme, customers can buy MG Comet EV and MG ZS EV at very cheap prices. The starting price of MG Comet EV has been kept at Rs 4.99 lakh (original price starts at Rs 7 lakh). For this, the customer will have to pay an additional battery fare of Rs 2.5 per kilometer. At the same time, the price of MG ZS EV has been kept at Rs 13.99 lakh (original price starts at Rs 19 lakh) and for this, a fare of Rs 4.5 per kilometer will have to be paid.
This scheme is beneficial because customers will have to pay only the battery rent for the amount of time they drive the vehicle. Along with this, JSW MG Motor also said that if the customer wants to sell this vehicle back after three years, then he will definitely be refunded 60 percent of the price of the vehicle.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said, “With BaaS, we have created a platform for easy ownership. Following the successful response to this scheme, we are extending its benefits to the Comet and ZS models. I am confident that this unique ownership model will drive EV adoption in the country.”
