Tamil Nadu School Refusing: The Education Minister shares important updates for June 2.
In a welcome development for students and parents, the schools in Tamil Nadu have been designed to reopen on June 2, as determined at the beginning after the summer break. The early beginning of the South -West monsoon has brought relief from cooler temperature and intense heat heat, paving the way for a return to academic life in pleasant conditions.
During a high-level meeting with education officers of various districts, State Education Minister Ambil Mahesh Poymozy prepared a series of instructions for all students to reopen a smooth and justified re-opening, especially in rural and economically deprived communities.
The minister emphasized the need to ensure reliable transport for students living in remote areas. He directed the District Principal Education Officers to closely monitor the bus availability and coordinate with the Transport Department, to deploy school bus services immediately.
A pressing concern raised during the video conference included students in private matriculation schools, whose families are affected by poverty, unable to settle the outstanding fees, resulting in preventing education certificates often. The Education Minister directed the officials to immediately engage with private school management to secure these important documents, ensuring that the educational future of any student is not stopped due to financial difficulty.
In preparation to reopen the school, the minister also urged that all the necessary learning materials including textbooks, notebooks and school bags be distributed to students on the first day. He instructed the education authorities to confirm that all schools have received adequate supply to meet these requirements.
The school re -opening follows a summer vacation that began in April. Earlier, there was speculation about the possible delay in the new academic year due to rising temperature. However, with the initial monsoon offering very important relief, the Directorate of School Education confirmed that classes for students from class 1 to 12 would start without adjournment.
