The spirit of the Great Gatsby is alive in Taylor Swift. The anti-hero megastar has recently made headlines because of his Erasure Tour calendar or possibly his biggest love story ever with Travis Kelce. However, now it’s time to reopen the chapter on the venue of her amazing Fourth of July ‘Tamerica’ parties – her Rhode Island estate. Swift’s unique estate, built on the highest point of Watch Hill, is known as High Watch or Holiday House.
Standing right on a private beach, Taylor Swift’s holiday house became her favorite in 2013. She succeeded her high-society inspiration, Rebekah Harkness, as the next famous owner of the Rhode Island home. Even though she never actually met the old heiress, Taylor was deeply influenced by Harkness, for whom she wrote the folk ballad, The Last Great American Dynasty.
As Harkness hosted lavish parties at the villa, Taylor followed in his footsteps. Harkness’s proud legacy lives on in the hilltop ‘Tamerica’ parties held every US Independence Day. Here’s what we know about the mega-mansion, which is literally a palace on a hill:

How big is Taylor Swift holiday house?
The eight-room house is an 11,000-square-foot property built on top of Watch Hill. It is located on over 700 feet of private beach. Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home has eight fireplaces, ten bathrooms, a huge backyard, and a larger-than-life pool. The Lavender Haze singer has retained much of the traditional style of the house from the old days.
She has rarely come out with pictures boasting of her huge house. However, during the lavish party, her A-list friends (Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas, Martha Hunt and others) have often shared glimpses of the estate in their photos. These photos reveal that the villa’s signature indoor color aesthetic is all about neutral shades, with gray walls and grayish-white furniture throughout.
How expensive is Taylor’s Rhode Island home?
As mentioned above, originally built in 1929, the Watch Hill estate became Taylor’s in 2013. At the time, he purchased the place for $17.75 million, with the entire amount paid in cash (Page Six).
A-list guests at Tomerica parties
Party or not, she has hosted many of her A-list friends over the years. The honor extends to her best friends, Selena Gomez, the Haim sisters, Abigail Lauren, Gigi Hadid and other friends including Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Martha Hunt. Cara Delevingne and Ruby Rose have also been spotted at home.
Other photos include her former teammates, Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris, who have also taken their place. Swift’s close friends Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively – the always-loved Hollywood couple – were also welcomed to their Castle on the Hill.
