MrBeast has overtaken T-Series to become the most subscribed YouTube channel. Earlier in 2023, the YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, had promised to support fellow influencer PewDiePie by achieving this goal.
MrBeast posted a screenshot of his subscriber count, which matches the subscriber count of T-Series, the business name of Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd, owned by Bhushan Kumar.
Bhushan Kumar became the head of T-Series after the death of his father, the legendary Gulshan Kumar, in 1997. The music company now also produces Bollywood music. It has produced successful films such as Tu Jhoothi Main Makka, Animal and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
T-Series has been the top channel on YouTube for many years. In 2021, it was the first channel to reach the 200 million subscriber mark. MrBeast has become popular very quickly, he will also have the same number of subscribers by October 2023.
By April 2024, the 26-year-old American YouTuber had surpassed 250 million subscribers, making his main channel one of the fastest-growing channels on YouTube.
Announcing his achievement, MrBeast wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Finally after 6 years we avenge PewDiePie.” The screenshot he shared shows that he has 1,608 more YouTube subscribers than T-Series.
As congratulations came pouring in, one of the most prominent people to congratulate the social media influencer was owner X: Elon Musk. Musk wrote, “Wow, congratulations!”
MrBeast’s post on his ex has garnered nearly 10 million views, while many social media users reacted with memes.
Earlier on June 1, MrBeast posted a photo on his ex account showing that he was only one million subscribers behind the top spot.

On May 16, MrBeast challenged Bhushan Kumar to a boxing match. He posted a picture showing his YouTube subscribers and wrote, “I challenge the CEO of T-Series to a boxing match.”
