Drew’s high praise
“This is the first thing I’ve seen that brings me back to being Rosemary’s baby,” Drew said. And is it true that your father was actually a fan of that movie? Sydney replied, “He introduced me to the horror genre because he was a horror fan, he loved scary movies. Like Halloween is his favorite holiday. Rosemary’s Baby was one of our biggest inspirations for Immaculate.”
Drew continued to praise the film, “You can say whatever you want, I don’t want to give anything away because I didn’t know at all and I was so shocked along the way that I didn’t see any of it coming and I certainly didn’t.” I can’t see it coming to an end…I’m not spoiling anything. Speech on point. This movie surprises and delights in a very scary, terrifying way.’ ‘
about the immaculate
The Immaculate is a horror film starring Sidney Sweeney as an American nun in a remote Italian convent. Released by Neon after premiering at SXSW, the film debuted with $5.4 million on 2,354 screens in North America. Sweeney’s rising star power helped make Anybird But You one of the most successful rom-coms in years. But Immaculate, an independent production that cost less than $10 million, isn’t getting the same buzz.
David A. Gross of the consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research wrote, “The film stars the popular Sidney Sweeney, but horror movies are not driven by actors.” “They are inspired by hooks: the evil doll, the evil smile, the invisible or silent presence, the found footage, the possessed child. This is what scares the scary crowd. The thorn here is not entirely clear.”
HBO’s hit series Euphoria opens in Sydney. She plays Cassie on the show which also stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and others.
