Airport News: After swallowing about 503 grams of cocaine, a man of Filipino origin boarded a flight coming to Delhi. Before this flight, this person traveled for about eight and a half hours to reach Addis Ababa and then traveled for about six and a half hours from there to reach Indira Gandhi International Airport.
After seeing the actions of this foreigner at IGI Airport, the customs officers were unable to understand the whole matter. Before being detained through the green channel of Customs, an X-ray was done on this foreign man, in which it was confirmed that there were many capsules lying in his stomach.
After this, this foreign man was immediately admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, where under the supervision of doctors, about 66 capsules were recovered from his stomach. According to custom, all these capsules were filled with white colored powder. Investigation revealed that it was powdered cocaine packed in capsules.
According to a senior customs officer, there were 503 grams of coco inside the capsule taken out from the stomach of this citizen of Filipino origin, whose price in the international market is around Rs 7.54 crore. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused first reached Addis Ababa from Bangkok via flight ET 629 and reached Delhi via flight ET 688.
According to a senior Customs officer, this citizen of Filipino origin has been arrested on charges of drug trafficking under the provisions of the NDPS Act. Also, the cocoon recovered from its possession has been confiscated. The interrogation of the accused is currently going on to find out other links of this drug syndicate.
