Actor Suriya was recently in Visakhapatnam to promote his upcoming film Kanguva. On Sunday, he attended a pre-release event, which also included Sandeep Kishan, and talked about what he likes about these Tollywood actors. ‘Chiranjeevi cooked me fish and fed me dosa’
Suriya was asked one by one what he thought about these Telugu actors and shared personal examples with them. When Chiranjeevi’s name came up, he said, “When I received the National Award, Chiranjeevi garu called me instead of sending flowers.” At home he cooked us fish and served us dosa with his own hands. If today I have a house in Chennai, an NGO, it is because of him that I have it.”
Surya described Pawan Kalyan as a person who is the same in both ‘reel and real’ life. He said, “He is frank and open-hearted; I love it.” She then called Ram Charan her ‘younger brother’ and said, ‘He is only 15 films old, and I am amazed. He is already a global star. He is like a younger brother to me. Kind and I am very happy with his success.”
The actor also credited Allu Arjun’s father, producer Allu Aravind, for his success, saying, “Allu Aravind garu is the reason why I am here today… the way he delivered Ghajini.” “I’m a big fan of Allu Arjun’s hard work and his dance steps, looking forward to Pushpa 2,” he said, hinting at Pushpa Raj.
‘Nobody speaks Telugu like Jr NTR’
Suriya praised Jr NTR’s Telugu language, saying that his energy surprises everyone. “Tarak, dear brother. I don’t think anyone else speaks Telugu with such a pure dialect. No one speaks the mother tongue like him,” he said, adding, “I am amazed by his energy…I think every person in every industry, whether it is Tamil, Hindi or Malayalam, everybody is amazed that he gets his Where does the energy come from?
The actor also recalled how Mahesh Babu and he studied in the same school in Chennai. “Mahesh and I went to school together; He was a little junior to me. I love his attitude, whatever film he is doing, the way he emotes is in a different league.”

Suriya’s upcoming film Kanguva, directed by Siva and starring Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, will release in theaters on November 14. The actor has also recently completed shooting for an untitled project with Karthik Subbaraj.
