Pakistani students are not granted Indian Student Visa to study courses like Science/Humanities/Commerce. At the school level, student visa can be granted only to study in recognized/approved international schools that admit international students. Also, the fee structure of those schools should be high (minimum Indian fee Rs 30,000 per month). Student visa can also be granted to study music, dance, yoga etc. in institutions recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

How can a Pakistani student get a student visa?
It is not easy for Pakistani students to get admission in any school or university in India. For this, they will have to fulfill the following conditions-

1- Proof of final admission in full time graduation/post graduation course in any recognized/approved educational institution in India must be submitted.

2- The Pakistani student must submit evidence of financial support. He or she must submit evidence of transfer of sufficient funds to support and study in India for at least 4 months, to the satisfaction of the Indian Mission.

3- Pakistani citizens coming to India on student visa will have to get themselves registered within 24 hours of reaching India. Along with this, they will also have to inform the local district police (FRO) about their place of residence.

4- Similarly, written information regarding shifting from that place will also have to be given 24 hours before departure.
