Stock Market: These IPOs are raining money! Many have given 200-400% listing gain

New Delhi. Initial public offerings of small and medium enterprises i.e. SME IPOs have given tremendous returns to investors in the recent past. Some of the recently listed SME IPOs have given investors listing gains of up to 200-400 percent. The great returns on the SME platform reflect the growing interest of investors in the SME segment. The excellent subscription received by the recent issue has also made it clear that these IPOs are no longer ‘untouchable’ for investors. IPOs of small and medium companies are listed on NSE SME and BSE Emerging Platform.

Most investors probably did not even imagine the kind of listing gain that Vinsol Engineers, Refractory Shapes and Energy Mission Machineries, which were listed last week, gave to IPO investors. Vinsol Engineers shares were listed on the SME platform on May 14 and gave investors a 411 percent listing gain. Vinsol Engineers made a great start and its shares were listed on NSE Emerge at Rs 365 against the issue price of Rs 75, giving more than 5 times return. Refractory Shapes shares were listed at a 114 percent premium, while Energy Mission Machineries’ IPO gave investors 178 percent listing gain on the day of listing on May 16.

Why is the attraction increasing?
According to a report by Hindu BusinessLine, Neville Savjani, director of Beeline Capital Advisors, says that investors’ attraction towards SME IPOs is increasing. The excellent subscription received by the recent SME issue is an example of this. He said that the success of IPOs on the SME platform is mainly due to attractive valuations compared to the main board of good companies. With the help of favorable government policies, MSME companies are raising new capital to meet the growing demand due to the Make in India campaign.

Those who invested in these SME IPOs were delighted
Many of the SME IPOs listed so far this year have given investors listing gains ranging from 200 per cent to 411 per cent. Vinsol Engineers IPO, launched on May 14 this year, gave a listing gain of 411 per cent. KC Energy & Infra IPO listed at a premium of 343 per cent. Investors in Maxxposure IPO made a profit of 317 per cent on the day of listing.

The former Flexipack SME IPO, which was listed on March 5, gave investors a profit of 248 per cent on listing, while Asconet Technologies’ profit was 228 per cent. Constellec Engineers’ shares were listed at a premium of 215 per cent. Owais Metal and Mineral gave a listing gain of 202 per cent, Alpex Solar gave a listing gain of 200 per cent and Phonebox Retail IPO also gave a listing gain of 200 per cent.
